TexNov launches its acoustic division

Building on its expertise in building coating solutions, TexNov is taking a new step forward with the launch of IsoTex, its division specialized in architectural acoustics.

Powered by advanced Basotect melamine foam technology, our new solutions deliver exceptional sound absorption with remarkable lightness.

Opening the door for architects and designers to enjoy unprecedented creative freedom to transform, soundproof, and elevate every living or working space.

We use BASF’s eco-balanced Basotect melamine foam, recognized for having the lowest carbon emission rate among specialized acoustic products on the market. A choice that actively supports more responsible projects… without compromising performance.

✔ Contributes to LEED credits for sustainable construction projects
✔ EPD available (Environmental Product Declaration) for full environmental transparency
✔ Recognized fire certifications:
• Canada: ULC S102
• United States: Class A – ASTM E84

A solution that combines design, acoustic performance, and environmental commitment, for spaces that are as smart as they are inspiring.

Melamine foam

Melamine foam panels feature an open-cell structure composed of 90 to 95% air. This structure creates a lightweight, flexible, low-density product with excellent sound absorption at a thickness
of 5 cm.

  • Fiber-free product — no risk of particle inhalation

  • Flexible at low temperatures down to −40°C

  • Resistant to organic and alkaline solutions

  • Consistent physical properties across a wide temperature range

  • Custom-cut to desired patterns for unique creative expression

Easy installation

IsoTex is lightweight and does not require assistance for installation. It easily adapts to building corners thanks to instant adhesion.

LIGHTWEIGHT & SELF-SUPPORTING

IsoTex is lightweight, so contractors don’t need assistance. The adhesive provides instant bonding without putting stress on structures.

FLEXIBLE ORIENTATION

Panels can be installed horizontally or vertically, shaped to fit building corners. No constraints on format or angle.

OPTIMIZED SUSPENSION

Foam panels should not hang more than 3 meters — a central hook is installed approximately every 2.4 m, about 5 cm from the cable, to prevent sagging.

WIRING & SPAN
Use a wall-to-wall cable installation for large-scale covered areas. Optional spacers allow for even placement of baffles along the
cable span.

BAFFLE ORIENTATION
Aligned in the same direction or at 90 degrees for two-sided baffles. An alternating pattern provides better overall acoustic performance.

ANTI-SAGGING
Install a central support hook at mid-span, approximately every 2.4 m and about 5 cm from the cable, to ensure a clean look and consistent support across the entire span.
